Sanjay Laul started with a single student recruitment company and spent 25 years building it into something far bigger. Today, Laul Global is one of Canada's most diversified education holding groups, with eight portfolio companies, seven institutions across Canada and the United States, and a global edtech platform reaching students in 20+ countries.

MSM Unify, the group's flagship, was built from the ground up by Sanjay. It is now one of the most active international student platforms in the world, connecting students, institutions, and recruitment partners at a scale most in the sector cannot match.

Sanjay leads all major strategy, M&A activity, and institutional relationships personally. He is the group's primary decision-maker on acquisitions, and he brings operational depth, not just capital, to every institution the group adds to its portfolio.

He also oversees Laul Global's real estate and venture studio interests. The group does not diversify for the sake of it. Every vertical is connected to the same long-term ownership philosophy Sanjay has held since he started.

Mahir Laul is a New York-based founder who has already built a company, raised attention, and attracted press coverage, all before turning 20. He is the next generation of Laul Global leadership, and his operating experience is real.

He is the founder and CEO of Velric, an AI-powered SaaS platform built on a simple but sharp conviction: that the resume is broken. Velric replaces it with a standardised proof-of-work score, the Velric Score, giving hiring managers a clearer signal and giving talent a fairer shot. Built while studying at NYU, it is now his full-time company.

Through LaulX, he backs early-stage tech founders with capital, network, and the kind of direct, operational input that only comes from someone who has been in the building himself. He evaluates founders on the same things he demands of himself: clarity of problem, conviction of purpose, and the ability to execute under pressure.
